Fever
Fever, also known as pyrexia, is the elevation of the body's temperature
above the upper limit of normal, usually taken as 37.7¡C.
Most fevers are caused by infections and almost all infectious diseases
cause fever.
Drugs that reduce fever are known as antipyretics. A common antipyretic is
paracetamol or acetaminophen.
